Die DC-1394 PCIe von Dawicontrol bietet zwei externe und einen internen Firewire Anschluss mit Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 400 Mbit/s und ist zu den Standards Firewire, i.LINK und IEEE1394 kompatibel. Ein weiterer Vorteil besteht darin, dass Firewire wie auch USB sogenanntes "Hotplugging" unterstützen. Hierdurch können während des Betriebes Geräte angeschlossen oder entfernt werden, ohne den Computer neu zu starten. Der DC-1394 PCIe kann in jeden beliebigen PCIe Steckplatz eingebaut werden.
